Most people, especially the young, know Elton John starting with perhaps Madman Across The Water. In that case, they may not know this tune which, to my mind, is the best song from his very first self-named album, Elton John. It’s a side of Elton you may not realize was even possible, for it’s a gospel tune sung in a gospel manner and it’s the one Elton John song I wish I could hear Little Richard sing, because he may be the only one who might do it better.
